Hostellerie de Plaisance
Right in the middle of the famous medieval town of Saint-Émilion stands the Hostellerie de Plaisance, a unique place in this village listed as a World Heritage Site by the Unesco. Its architecture reveals two buildings connected by beautiful hanging gardens. The terrace bar offers stunning views over the pink tile rooftops and the thousand-year-old vineyard.
At the restaurant, a new chef, Cédric Béchade, just took over. After 10 years at the Plaza Athénée in Paris with Alain Ducasse, he created L’Auberge Basque in Saint-Pée-sur-Nivelle. He will now put all of his creative energy and talent into the Hostellerie de Plaisance through a contemporary and tasty cuisine while respecting local traditions and products. Sommelier Benoit Gelin will also be happy to introduce you to the wines that have made Bordeaux vineyards famous.
